As you open the fan page, you’ll notice that they have a tab for CastleVille Happiness. At 5 million likes, Zynga will give free cool items to all 5 million who liked the page and requested for a gift.

The prizes are: Archery Target, Expansion Gem, Hyper Craft, Castle Topiary, Fountain, Good Morning Glories, Silver Queen Statue and Cannon.

Each of these items has particular numbers of likes before you can unlock them and accept it as a gift. As of now, there are over 700,000 likes, which means that the Archery Target, Expansion Gem and Hyper Craft were unlocked and you can now request them as a gift. Four million more to go before it reaches to the Cannon that’s worth 5million likes. This doesn’t sound impossible since other ville franchise series has over than 5million players. CastleVille did not reveal what items are these for, but it should be used in the game. Almost every player will have it anyway.

It starts with an epic voice of the narrator about a beautiful land where happiness rules. It firstly introduces Tom, the Dragon Slayer and a Cupcake Slayer. It looks like he was caught in eating cupcake all over his mustache. Then George, the Miner who digs a dinosaurs’ skeleton showing off to Sonja, which makes him the Teddy Bear. Next was Rafael (former Antonio), the Playboy. It was funny that he opens his chest to show it to Yvette and Sonja, and both girls were driven like in a roller coaster.  Then there comes Sonja the Gold Digger, a pirate who spent almost all her life in shores but here comes George in her side. And the last was Yvette, the Lovely yet Lonely Fair Maiden.  We have a list of more information about CastleVille Characters in this site. You may want to check it out too.

It also includes some quick screenshots of the rest of the characters and interior looks of the castles, and even fireworks! Before the trailer ends, it reveals more characters in CastleVille. It seems that there’s a good and a bad side of the story.

His favorite Game is the Yar’s Revenge of the Atari because of its constant drone that make him feel to throw space creatures. Goblin is his favorite character because of his nice voice.

We’ve hidden a lot of tidbits and hints throughout the quests.  Pay attention and you might just figure out some of the mysteries before your friends do!” said Dave Pottinger, the Lead Designer of CastleVille during his interview. His job is to make sure that the content and the system designs are working altogether for the strong storyline of CastleVille; some of which are conceptualizing and implementing game rules, story and content designs. Together with Stephen Rippy, they created Age of Empires and found gaming industry to be fitted to what he wants for in a job. CastleVille Characters

While CastleVille hasn’t released yet, why don’t we look at the characters that we’ll meet on the game. Zynga have provided some quick and short descriptions of the characters. So, here they are.
You may have seen her prominently on CastleVille images, she is the one with a long gold hair and looks like Rapunzel, she is the Lovely Maiden – Yvette. She’s a friendly Princess and wants to sing with her beautiful voice. She likes sunshine, animals, ice tea, nature, happy and lavender in the morning dew. She, however, doesn’t like grumpy gus’s, storms and thunders, depression, sad, frown faces and monsters that eat animals.

Then there is Rafael, he’s gorgeous and always dress up with his unbuttoned shirts. I’m not really sure if he has intent to court Yvette and wants to be the Prince, but I don’t know. Let’s see in the game. He likes big axes, beaties and honies rubs down! He don’t like boredom and covering his chest.
Next is George, the Miner. He’s very kind and hardworking.
Then, Sonja, be careful of her, she may seem too beautiful but she’s a Pirate and has a found in stealing stuffs. As far as we know, Sonja spends her time on seas searching for lost treasures, and tries to catch a magic gift-giving fish. She is also starting her revenge against the Dark One. Will anybody willing to make this tough pirate soft?
Then, lastly is Tom, he is a brave Dragon Slayer, very adventurous but he’s thinking of retiring his adventures and settle down by having a wife.
That’s all we got so far. We’ll keep you posted with the updates.

CastleVille is Coming Soon

Tired of managing your farm, your frontier, your city, and even your aquarium? Well, then get ready to build a castle and kingdom, because Zynga has just announced its newest game for Facebook, CastleVille. The release date for the game has not been announced yet, but it was recently unveiled during an event held at Zynga’s HQ in San Francisco. In many ways, CastleVille will be just like its predecessors but in a fantasy setting. But there’s more to it, and it will deliver a grander scale of gameplay and delight new players and old with its scope.

Although little has been revealed so far about the game, we do know a few important things about CastleVille. It all takes place in a fantasy medieval setting, almost straight out of a book of fairy-tales. The storyline is front and center, and it is an integral part of the experience. CastleVille will introduce the concepts of crafting and trading to the world of the Ville games. You will be able to assemble your own items from raw materials and either utilize them for your own purposes or trade them with your friends and neighbors. Combat will be part of the game as well, and there are pleny of beasts to overcome outside the safe borders of your happy kingdon. The game has more personalized storytelling; players explore the world around them. You meet characters and make them happy and unlock new characters as you progress. Think of your kingdom in CastleVille as the center of happiness. As you expand your borders, you’ll defeat the forces of gloom that are keeping people unhappy.

CastleVille will feature many different characters that you interact with in the game. One such character is known as Antonio the Woodsman and one of the others is is Tom, who is an aging knight with a kind heart and a thick Scottish accent. Another main character is the lovely Giselle, a beautiful princess with an equally lovely singing voice. In earlier games on Facebook, these computer-controlled characters have been mostly shallow and functional in nature. In CastleVille, interacting with the different characters will be an integral part of the game.

The game will also be highly social. Friends will be able to assist in building and decorating your castle, and you’ll be able to show off your progress. The ability to trade and swap items is a huge part of the game. CastleVille will also feature a crafting system where you can combine materials to make items, such as potions, that you can use to improve your success in the game. You’ll also call upon your friends to fight beasts and monsters in your kingdom.

CastleVille is said to adapt to the decisions you make and the characters you meet throughout the game. Self-expression, storytelling and the narrative will all be a key aspect of the game. And last but not least, the art and music will be unlike anything seen before. This is the first social game with a score recorded by a 75-piece orchestra, and even features a choir.

If you’ve been bored with all the copycat games on Facebook as of late, get ready for a new and wonderful adventure with CastleVille.
